On Homecoming, Hawks strike through the air but Lancers grind out the win.  Final Lee 34 - Hayfield 28.

Hayfield Sophomore QB Anton McCallum connects for four TD passes (60 yards to Johnson; 38 to Braxton, 28 to Islam and 12 yards to Westbrook) .

Anton McCallum rolls to his left on this play which resulted in a first down pass completion.  The elusive McCallum brings great determination, intensity and a can do attitude to the Hawks.  Just a sophomore, this young man's talent are self evident and bode well for Hayfield's future.  With a few pieces added to the puzzle the Hawks offense will be a force to be reckoned with in the next seasons.

(L. to R.) A Lancers' ball carrier finds a gap in the Hawks defensive line. Seniors Collins Asomanning (#11) and Kyle Cotton  (#66) close in on a Lancer. After a long delay as a result of a massive storm, McCallum fires away to a long completion. (Note:  On the evening McCallum completed 17 of 29 passes, with one interception, for 275 yards.) With good protection led by Senior OL Ben Huber (#64), McCallum sprints to his right and looks down field for a receiver. Asommaning hits the line of scrimmage with a Lancer in hot pursuit. Sean Johnson is attended by athletic trainer Jamie Culbertson.  Johnson had a couple of long receptions including one for a TD.  Senior DL Nati Adamu had another fine performance on both sides of the line for the Hawks. Junior DE Laurent Newsome breaks through the line. Sophomore Nazrul Islam (#26)is on the receive end of a strike from McCallum. Islam has been plagued by hydration problems throughout the season. (Note: The short-handed Hawks can ill afford his absence and play-making capabilities.) Junior LB Keith McCormick (#72)  chases down the Lancer QB. Ian Gray (#14) kicks one of his four extra points.
